My daughter wishes to thank you for writing this. Thanks to this fic, I recognized the signs and dangers of an allergic reaction. She's twelve years old and might not have made it to thirteen. Her attack was slow, unexpected, and confusing. When I got home from work and saw that she was covered in hives and wheezing, I rushed out for Benadryl. We eventually ended up in the Urgent Care for a shot and two breathing treatments. No one else at home realized just how serious things were. She would have tipped over into full anaphalactic shock during her sleep and probably not woken up.
